About Pierrette
For over 30 years, Pierrette has lived, worked, and raised her family in New Paltz and Esopus. As a SUNY New Paltz graduate and long-time resident, her personal and professional life has been deeply rooted in Ulster County.
Pierrette's career has focused on supporting at‑risk youth, families, and individuals in need of mental health, substance use, and related services throughout the Mid‑Hudson Region.
Pierrette has collaborated with local organizations, schools, law enforcement, courts, and community leaders to expand access to essential services and strengthen community wellness. Her work includes writing and securing two federal Drug-Free Grants for New Paltz, which helped establish long‑running prevention and wellness programs.
In recent years, Pierrette has also been part of the leadership team of Indivisible New Paltz, organizing community visibility events and helping create spaces for residents to share concerns, learn together, and participate in civic engagement. Her commitment to service, collaboration, and community care has guided her work for more than four decades.
